Executive summary

Arzu Tschütscher studied economics and business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. After building her career in the financial services sector, she completed an LL.M. program in banking and financial market law and another in corporate law at the University of Liechtenstein. Most recently, Arzu Tschütscher conducted intensive research in the field of sustainability management and wrote her PhD thesis, which will be completed soon. Her research focuses in particular on the interface between economics and environmental and social sustainability. As a business economist, she is of the clear opinion that environmental and social sustainability can only be guaranteed if companies are economically successful.
Her professional background is in operational finance and risk management, initially in the telecommunications industry and then for many years as CFO and CRO in the insurance and banking sector. In these roles, she led international teams in large corporations and was also a member of the management board for SMEs. Sustainability management has been her area of responsibility since the introduction of the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).
Strategically, she was a member of the Board of Directors of Telecom Liechtenstein AG for eight years, most recently as Vice-Chairwoman, and currently holds the position of Supervisory Board member of the Financial Market Authority (FMA) Liechtenstein, where she also chairs the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

She has been a member of the BDO (Liechtenstein) AG team as Director Advisory since the beginning of 2025.
